a little from my Hip-Hop assesment.

And then thanksgiv.... Chrismas? came.

HEY THERE.

As usual the weeks and been filled with stuff! Just yesterday I finished a 20 page assessment for my Hip-Hop class (which is also why I chose to write my blog now). Last week I had Thanksgiving vacation and I went with my family to RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) in Providence. Soo much fun. It was my second time being there and I got to see my funny/artsy host brother doing a video shoot for one of his project. The Thanksgiving day was a truly untraditional Thanksgiving-day. Usually you are together with your family all day eating/drinking getting ready for the big meal (Turkey, mashed potatoes, salads, cranberry sauce, apple pie and pumpkin pie). Sounds good doesn't it? Well as lucky as I am I actually two weeks before the real Thanksgiving day, I got to experience one at my French exchange student friend's house. They were going to Spain to visit their daughter on Thanksgiving, so they chose to have a pre-thanksgiving at their house. ANYWAYS, back to my actual story. My real Thanksgiving-day was fairly unusual. We first went to the beach to shoot Martín's (my hostbrother) film, then a Peruvian restaurant and finally went to see a movie about Hawaii. Kind of exotic huh? And then we were driving home and entered Vermont the landscape suddenly changed into a Christmas landscape. Snow everywhere and decorations hanging in every shop. You really do get to see everything in America!

My first Thanksgiving!

A whole lot on my mind!

Hey there people!
I'm sorry I didn't write back after Halloween, but a lot of emotional stuff has been going on the last two weeks. Both good and bad. I don't want to write a lot about it on my blog, since it's private in many ways. A suicide happened two weeks ago which hit the whole school (Harwood and it's community) really bad. A tragic since he was only a freshman (probably 14 years old). I did not personally know this guy, but as Harwood and its community around it has taught me, you give respect.

Rest In Peace Jacob.

A week ago I finally turned 17! Not the most exciting age, but at least I’m one year closer to turning 18. My host mom surprised me big time with gifts all over the table and a real American cake, when I came home from theatre practice at 9:00 pm in the night. A pre-birthday table since I was at school the whole next day rehearsing for the fall play show the day after. I had a great first American birthday with cupcakes all over the place and people yelling happy birthday in the hallways. Great day! Oh yeah, and of course the Danish package from my parents filled with Danish treasures.
And then the fall play show happened! Sooo much fun and I’m so glad that I chose to go to the fall play audition a few months back on my 2nd day of High School (even thought I thought I was going to die). A bunch of other stuff has happened too, such as my first Danish dinner (made frikadeller and forgot 3-5 guests were vegetarians), getting ready for ski season etc. But now it’s times for some pictures!

... and then the snow came!

Hey there!
November has not even arrived yet and still this thursday I experienced my first snow in the middle of a field hockey game (they won). I've seen snow before but still I was so excited to see it this early! So imagine how excited my Brazilian friend Henrique (who've never seen snow before) was. Flipping out in the middle of field hockey game SNOOOOOOOOW!!!! HAHA.

Halloween is sneaking up on everyone and tomorrow I will experience my first real Halloween - so get ready for a spooky post this week!

.... and here some pictures!

If I don't die tomorrow, I will post another one this week!

Some good stuff with a beautiful view.

Sitting in my room reflecting the last week. What a great week! Last weekend I went on my first trip out of the state to the state Maine with my whole XC (cross country) team. It was mainly for the meet happening the saturday, but we got to see a lot the friday before. It was such a good time and even though I'm not much of a runner I actually did a 5km in 20:51, which is beyond any of my expectations! (I almost didn't want to run, haha) So far I've gained 4 pounds so I guess I should be doing some running... Anyways the whole week after the meet I stayed at my Brazilian friend's family and went with my French teacher (my Brazilian friend's hostmom) to school everyday. Pretty awesome, haha. I really love their family and I had great time hanging out with my friend all week. Then the weekend came up and after having the most epic friday hanging out with friends, saturday came where I went to the holy restaurant - FLATBREAD (best pizza ever) - with all the exchange students. The best (I wanna swear here) pizza I've ever tasted! And the evening was even more perfect when we got served by our beloved Ashley (she was an exchange students in France last year) and later went to her house. Hot tub, enough said! Then sunday, early morning (11:00) our counsellor picked us up and we went for a hike in the beautiful Vermont Mountains, it was so pretty (PICTURES). Sorry guys, a looong text, but I've had the best week! Anyway here's some pictures!

O ya, and some girl made me an upside down pineapple cake this week.
